Spyro crosses the Forgotten Worlds to recover 150 stolen dragon eggs, switching between distinct playable characters and minigames as he explores the third original PlayStation adventure.

Platforms
During the Year of the Dragon festival, fairies deliver 150 eggs to the Dragon Kingdom. The Sorceress of the Forgotten Worlds has the Rhynocs steal them, with Bianca helping carry out the scheme, leaving Spyro and Sparx to cross new homeworlds and bring the eggs back. The 2000 PlayStation adventure adds Sheila the Kangaroo, Sgt. James Byrd, Bentley the Yeti, and Agent 9 as playable characters, each built around different movement or attack abilities.

Spyro still explores open 3D stages by charging, breathing fire, gliding, collecting gems, and recovering stolen eggs. Side activities expand the route with skateboarding, boxing, speed challenges, and other minigames. Sparx and Hunter also receive their own playable sections, giving the campaign a different rhythm from the first two games.
Use the homeworld portals as a checklist, but return after unlocking a character or ability because later routes hide eggs and gems. The original version is the PlayStation release published by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by Insomniac Games. Spyro Reignited Trilogy redraws the three classic games with new assets, while later ports change presentation; those are separate versions from the 2000 PlayStation game. Year of the Dragon is also called Spyro 3.
