Sid Meier's Civilization VI

A new player should focus on the first city before worrying about every victory condition. Select your Settler, look for fresh water and useful nearby tiles, then use Found City. The city needs a production choice: a Scout uncovers land, a Warrior helps protect it, while a Monument adds culture for early civics. You also choose a technology to research. Your Warrior can look beyond the map's unexplored edge while the city builds. End the turn when your units and city have the orders you want. Cities grow with food, need housing for more people and can later add districts on the map. Those systems become easier to understand once you can see one city working.

Firaxis Games developed Civilization VI, and 2K released it first on PC on October 21, 2016. Versions also reached Mac, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Later expansions add more leaders and rules; the original date here is for the base game. The official cover carries the game's own logo.
