Rayman Legends is a side-scrolling platform game. Rayman, Globox and their friends jump into magical paintings, and each painting opens a new set of levels. You run, jump, glide and punch your way past traps and monsters while looking for kidnapped Teensies. The bright hand-painted look can make a level seem easy at first, but its secret paths and timed jumps reward a careful second look.

You can play by yourself or with up to three friends in local co-op. In some stages, the group has to help each other cross a gap or break through a crowd of enemies. Other stages are built around music: the beat tells you when to jump, punch or slide. The game also includes big boss fights and Kung Foot, a small soccer-like side activity. Its original 2013 versions came to PC, Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; later releases reached newer consoles.
Ubisoft lists August 29, 2013, as the release date. This fiche is about the original Rayman Legends, not a later Definitive Edition or the separate Rayman Legends Retold product. In the United States and Canada, the ESRB rates Rayman Legends E10+ (Everyone 10+) for Cartoon Violence and Comic Mischief.
