Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous puts a player-made hero in a land threatened by demons from the Worldwound. You build a character, gather a party and decide how that hero will use growing supernatural power. The game uses the Pathfinder First Edition tabletop rules, but the computer handles the rules while you choose the party’s actions.

Combat offers two approaches: real-time action that you can pause, or turns taken one at a time. Switching between them changes how quickly a fight moves, not who controls the party. Classes define a character’s abilities, while equipment, spells and companions give the group different ways to handle an encounter. It remains a single-player game; having a party does not mean other people control its members.

Conversations and decisions matter outside battles too. Companions can react to the hero’s choices, and personal relationships are part of the story. Mythic Paths are major routes for the hero’s powers and identity, such as becoming an angel or a lich, an undead magic user. Leading the wider crusade adds strategic decisions beyond the smaller party’s travels.

Owlcat Games released the original game on September 2, 2021 for Windows PC and macOS. The Enhanced Edition arrived on September 29, 2022 as a free update for existing PC owners and as the console release. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are later versions; Nintendo Switch uses a cloud-streamed version, not a native offline port. The Enhanced name therefore does not change the original launch year.

The current PC listing credits Owlcat Games as developer and META Publishing and Owlcat Games as publishers. The gallery shows the overhead view, a dialogue choice panel, a personal story scene and the game’s fantasy settings. Extra DLC sold in bundles is separate from the original campaign.
