LittleBigPlanet 2 follows Sackboy, the small knitted character with a zip down his front, through levels made to look like cardboard, fabric and other everyday materials. Playing means jumping between platforms, grabbing objects and working through obstacles. Its other big attraction is Create mode: instead of only arranging a jumping course, you can connect switches and logic parts to make moving machines, puzzles and different kinds of games.

Media Molecule developed the original PlayStation 3 game. It first launched in North America on January 18, 2011. Sony Computer Entertainment was the original publisher; that PlayStation business later became Sony Interactive Entertainment. This is the 2011 PS3 game, not LittleBigPlanet 3 or Sackboy: A Big Adventure.
The PS3 online services have closed, so do not buy it expecting access to an active online library of community levels. The gallery below shows official early creation-tool demonstrations and later PS3 Move Pack content; these are labelled separately. The main image is Sony's official European PS3 packshot, whose PEGI mark is different from the United States classification shown here.
