Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link

Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was a free-to-play mobile action RPG developed and published by Square Enix for iOS and Android. Its planned systems connected an in-game map to real-world location data, allowing players to explore, battle enemies, collect pieces used for character growth, and reach locations remotely when travel was impractical. Closed beta materials also described automatic elements tied to movement and multiplayer battles. The project was announced in April 2022 and went through limited tests, but it never received a commercial release. Square Enix canceled development on May 14, 2025, saying it had become difficult to provide a service that players would find satisfactory over the long term. Missing-Link remains an unreleased, canceled entry; footage later circulated online has not been authenticated by Square Enix and does not establish its story or content.
