The fighting uses combos, defensive choices, Super moves and Ultimates. The comic and animated-series setting also carries over its graphic violence: the U.S. ESRB rates the game Mature 17+ for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence and Strong Language. It is not a child-friendly superhero fighter.

Season 2 begins October 13, 2026, with Angstrom Levy joining as the third DLC fighter and 21st playable character. He is a ranged fighter who can use portals to move, attack and create traps. The October addition expands an already released game; it is not a new launch or an October open beta.

Portal creates an upright opening and has neutral and backward variations, along with boosted versions. Angstrom's position before and after the teleport is the useful detail to watch. The neutral demonstration shows the green opening appearing between him and his opponent before the movement.

Portal creates an upright opening before Angstrom changes position.

Fastball launches an orb ahead of Angstrom. Its charged version returns to him, so the projectile can require attention after its initial journey across the stage. Normal and boosted versions appear separately in his move list.

Ground Portal creates a floor opening that Angstrom can enter before rising into an uppercut. The move list includes down and backward-down versions and an Armor Break follow-up. His larger named attacks are Overflow, Guardian and Reality Breach.

Ground Portal can lead into a rising uppercut.
