Hearthstone is Blizzard Entertainment's free-to-play digital strategy card game. Players build decks around Warcraft classes, cast spells, summon minions and use a class-specific Hero Power. Traditional play includes Standard and Wild formats, while Battlegrounds is an eight-player mode that does not require a personal card collection.

The game launched on March 11, 2014 with nine classes. Demon Hunter and Death Knight arrived later, and Monk is scheduled to become the 12th playable class in March 2027. Reign of the Black Empire is the October 20, 2026 expansion, adding four Old Gods and the Assemble keyword.

Hearthstone is available on Windows PC, macOS, iOS and Android. A Battle.net account supports cross-progression between compatible computers, phones and tablets. The game is free to play, with optional card packs and cosmetic purchases.
