Gothic 3 Classic

Gothic 3 Classic is THQ Nordic's overhauled console edition of Piranha Bytes' 2006 open-world RPG. The Nameless Hero reaches mainland Myrtana as orcs occupy the north, rebels resist, and southern Hashishin cooperate with the invaders. Players decide which groups to support while exploring a large, largely open world, completing main objectives and side quests, fighting monsters and human enemies, and developing a class-free character with weapons, spells, and close- or ranged-combat options. The Classic edition integrates Community Patch 1.75, further gameplay improvements, a controller-focused interface, and optimization intended to smooth the original experience. It is not a new sequel or a story remake: the world, plot, and core game remain Gothic 3, updated for modern consoles. THQ Nordic lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions for November 24, 2026. The original 2006 PC release remains separately available, so it should not be confused with this upcoming console edition.
