Seasonal cycles affect how farming fits into the year. Planting and harvesting are parts of a longer plan, while production chains let you turn basic materials into other goods. A grain mill is one example of a place that connects farming to processing. The gallery shows a combine collecting a crop, a trailer receiving harvested material and goods handled outside a mill.

The machinery comes from real agricultural brands, including CLAAS, Case IH, Fendt and John Deere. Different machines and tools have different jobs; a combine harvester gathers a crop, while a tractor can pull attached equipment. Animal areas add another side of the farm, with sheep, cows and other livestock alongside field work. The game offers American and European environments rather than one fixed farm.

You can play alone or farm cooperatively online. Cross-platform multiplayer lets supported versions share online farming, while ModHub provides free community-made additions. Extra packs and editions may include more equipment, but those additions should not be confused with the base game’s original content.

GIANTS Software developed and published Farming Simulator 22. Its official launch announcement gives November 22, 2021 for Windows PC, macOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and the historical Stadia version. The PC and console versions listed in the facts are distinct from that historical streaming release.
