Fallout: New Vegas

The New California Republic, Caesar's Legion, Mr. House, and an independent New Vegas each offer a different political route. The Courier's choices affect reputation with factions, access to quests, companion relationships, and the final balance of power. Dialogue, speech checks, science, medicine, lockpicking, survival, and other skills can open solutions that are not available to every build. Faction armor can also change how groups identify and react to the player.

Combat combines firearms, energy weapons, explosives, melee weapons, and unarmed attacks. The Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, called VATS, pauses the action so players can select body parts and manage attack chances before returning to real-time combat. Weapon modifications, ammunition types, Damage Threshold, traits, companions, and Hardcore Mode add further decisions about equipment and resources.

The Ultimate Edition includes the four story add-ons Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road, plus Courier's Stash and Gun Runners' Arsenal. The main campaign and its expansions use the Mojave's towns, casinos, military sites, vaults, and desert routes to connect personal survival with the larger faction conflict.
