Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered

The setting is the Three Kingdoms period, with more than 40 returning officers and the addition of Ziluan, the protagonist of Dynasty Warriors: Origins. Musou Mode follows individual officers through their stories. Free Mode lets players choose officers and scenarios, including alliances that do not follow the usual sides; the growth items, equipment and weapons collected carry over to other modes. Additional scenarios can be unlocked by meeting conditions during battles.

Classic Settings bring the added systems closer to the original game's setup, while Normal Settings apply the recommended remaster options. Players can also toggle the new features separately. Evasion avoids attacks and lets an officer fall back; a correctly timed Just Evasion can be followed by a counterattack. Perfect Power Guard deflects an attack with the right timing and can stun a strong opponent. Weapon Fusion in Camp consumes unwanted weapons to transfer their elemental properties and skills to another weapon. Camp also handles officer and bodyguard settings.

Challenge Mode offers tests based on defeated enemies, time and combos. Examples include Endurance, Time Attack and Assault. VS Mode has eight stages with different competitive rules. Musou Mode, Free Mode and VS Mode support offline split-screen for two players. Online two-player co-op has been announced for a later update; KOEI TECMO had not announced its release date in the October 1 launch notice.

The free demo includes Battle of Hulao Gate (Allied Forces) and six playable officers: Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun, Zhenji, Zhou Yu and Sun Shangxiang. Players can adjust difficulty and language settings. The demo is a sample battle, not confirmation that every full-game mode or equipment system is included.

The U.S. ESRB record rates the Windows PC version T for Teen, with Alcohol Reference and Violence. Its listed content includes large melee battles and alcohol references or power-up items. That rating record lists Windows PC; the confirmed console platforms are listed separately above.
