Diablo V is the next numbered entry in Blizzard Entertainment’s action RPG series. Blizzard announced it during the BlizzCon 2026 opening ceremony and says the game is now in development for Spring 2029.

The premise begins after Sanctuary has fallen. The heroes are gone and Diablo has won, shifting the story toward what someone must become after the world is already lost. Current reports from IGN and Variety place the game one century after Diablo IV; the indexed Blizzard announcement and official site confirm the fallen-Sanctuary premise but do not state that precise time gap.
