BUSTAFELLOWS follows Teuta, a young journalist in the fictional city of New Sieg. She can briefly travel back in time by entering another person's body, and she uses that ability when a lawyer called Limbo is in danger. What begins as an attempt to change an event brings her into a group whose members each have their own skills and secrets.

The game is a visual novel with a crime story and romance paths. You read dialogue, choose replies and get to know five men: a lawyer, a hitman, a plastic surgeon, an autopsy specialist and a hacker. Different choices and character paths change what you see and which ending you reach. The time-travel idea belongs to the story; this is not an open-world game where you freely rewind the city.
Choose it if you want a modern setting and a group of characters to become attached to while following dangerous cases. Romance is part of the appeal, but so are the group's work, friendships and trouble around them. The story includes violence, blood and strong language. Start with this first game before BUSTAFELLOWS Season 2 if you want to meet the characters and follow their relationships from the beginning.
