Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement is a 2.5D gothic action-adventure set in 16th-century England, before the story of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Leo and Alex are the two playable heroes on a mission to confront Demon Lord Elias inside his huge castle. The development team describes this as the largest map in the series to date and has shown a dynamic day-and-night cycle. The new Epiphany Combat System supports special moves and combinations that emerge through fighting. Crafting, cooking and visible changes to armor also feature in the official announcement. A September 2026 Tokyo Game Show gameplay trailer shows castle exploration, large monsters and battles, but it does not establish how every mechanic will work in the final release. The publisher now lists 2027 as its launch window without an exact day or month. PC storefronts, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are confirmed platforms. A prior storefront window should not be confused with the updated official release year. This is a new prequel adventure, not a remake of Ritual of the Night.
