Astro Bot is a 3D platform game starring the small robot first introduced to many PS5 players in Astro's Playroom. After Astro and the other Bots are scattered through space, he visits different planets to find them. Each stage has its own obstacles, enemies, and secrets, so rescuing every Bot means looking beyond the route to the exit.

Astro runs, jumps, punches, and gains temporary powers that change how he moves through a level. One gadget gives him frog-like gloves for swinging and hitting large targets; another puts a bulldog on his back for a burst of speed. Boss fights close out the galaxies, while shorter challenge stages test precise movement. The DualSense controller's vibration and adaptive triggers are part of how Team Asobi makes surfaces and actions feel different.
The game also brings in Bots dressed as characters from other PlayStation series. You do not need to know those games to follow Astro's rescue mission, but finding familiar faces gives longtime PlayStation fans another reason to search each stage. Team Asobi developed Astro Bot for PlayStation 5, and Sony Interactive Entertainment released it on September 6, 2024.
