Their disagreement affects friendships across Ever After High, where familiar fairy-tale families send the next generation to school.
The Royals want to follow the stories handed down to them, while the Rebels want a choice. Those names describe a disagreement about destiny, not a simple division between kind students and cruel ones. A character can be a princess and still question the future expected of her.
The animated adventures began in 2013 and include short web episodes and longer specials. Apple, Raven, Briar Beauty, Madeline Hatter, Ashlynn Ella, and Hunter Huntsman are useful characters to know at the beginning. Their family connections explain much of the pressure they face.
