Kim Yoon-hye will make a special appearance in A Love Other Than Yours as Baek Bo-ra, the first love of Lee Wan-do. Her agency, J,WIDE Company, announced the role on October 2.

Lee Min-jae plays Wan-do, the younger brother of Ahn Eun-jin’s character, Lee Mi-do. Wan-do was once a promising diver. Bo-ra belongs to the part of his past that he has struggled to leave behind.

The casting announcement connects Bo-ra to Wan-do’s earlier hopes and first love. It has not named an episode for her appearance or explained exactly what happened between the two characters.

The main story follows Mi-do and Namgung Ho, played by Ahn Eun-jin and Seo Kang-joon. They have been together for ten years. Ho is ready to think about marriage, while Mi-do is struggling with her work as a film director and with what she wants from their relationship.

Lee Joo-ahn plays Han Tae-seung, a lawyer who takes an interest in Mi-do. Jo Aram plays Park Su-a, Ho’s younger colleague, who is open about her feelings for him. Wan-do’s connection to Bo-ra adds a first-love story within Mi-do’s family.
