No, not officially. Billie is the lead character in Disney Animation's Hexed, but Disney has not announced her as a member of the Disney Princess lineup. People are calling her a new princess because she is a young female lead in a major Disney animated movie, not because the company has given her that title.

Disney's official Hexed page describes Billie as an impulsive and unconventional teenager who discovers secret magical abilities. It calls her a teenager and a witch. It does not call her a princess, and the story information released so far does not say that she comes from a royal family.

Hailee Steinfeld voices Billie, while Rashida Jones voices her cautious mother, Alice. Their adventure takes them from suburbia into Hexe, a hidden world of witches. Disney says the two uncover family mysteries that could change that world, so the movie appears to be built around magic, family, and Billie's identity rather than a royal story.

What Disney Has Actually Confirmed

Hexed opens in theaters on November 25, 2026. Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand direct the movie, with Josie Trinidad serving as co-director. Tracey Ullman voices an enchanted feather pen named Ms. Quill, and Stephen Fry voices the magical journal Elias Quire. Those details are official. A Disney Princess announcement is not.

Disney's current official Princess website lists 13 characters: Moana, Rapunzel, Tiana, Ariel, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, Snow White, Aurora, Mulan, Merida, Pocahontas, and Raya. Billie is not on that list as of August 5, 2026. Raya remains the newest character included on the official site.

This can be confusing because people often use 'Disney princess' as a general name for almost any young Disney heroine. Anna and Elsa are royal characters, and Mirabel and Asha lead recent Disney Animation movies, but none of them appears in the current 13-character list. Being popular, magical, or even royal does not automatically place someone inside the Disney Princess brand.
