Amelia Dimoldenberg says Chicken Shop Date is ending after 12 years. The YouTube interview series will release a few final episodes, but she has not announced when they will arrive or who her last guests will be.

How Chicken Shop Date became a hit

Chicken Shop Date began in 2014 as a youth-magazine column before becoming a YouTube series. Each episode puts Dimoldenberg in a chicken shop with a celebrity, where awkward pauses, deadpan questions, and deliberately flirtatious conversation are the format.

The idea stayed simple, but the guest list kept getting bigger. Billie Eilish, Andrew Garfield, Cher, Central Cee, Jack Harlow, and Paul McCartney have all appeared. The channel now has more than 4.4 million followers, and the series passed 1 billion views in its tenth year.

The final episodes are still coming

Dimoldenberg announced the ending on Instagram and said she wants to finish with “a few final dates.” She has not shared a final upload date or guest list, so the remaining episodes are still to come.

She chose to end it after spending most of her twenties making the series. That gives the remaining episodes a clear purpose: they are a farewell run, not another season with an unknown future.

What Amelia Dimoldenberg is doing next

Chicken Shop Date helped Dimoldenberg build her production company, Dimz Inc., and led to more on-camera work, including red-carpet hosting. She has other projects in development, including a BBC series and a romantic comedy she is writing and starring in.

Fans still have a few episodes to look forward to, while the final guest list remains private. The ending is announced, but the goodbye itself has not happened yet.
