Anime details
The Ramparts of Ice is a Japanese television anime adapted from the manga by Kocha Agasawa, published by Shueisha. Koyuki Hikawa has trouble connecting with others and tends to keep her classmates at arm’s length. She remains close to childhood friend Miki Azumi, but the arrival of Minato Amamiya draws her into new conversations and feelings. Yota Hino, a kind basketball player, joins the central group. The story follows friendships that change as the four students try to say what they feel, misunderstand one another and learn how to let other people come closer. MANQ directs the adaptation for Studio KAI. Anna Nagase voices Koyuki, Fuka Izumi voices Miki, Shoya Chiba voices Minato and Satoshi Inomata voices Yota. Other characters in the season-two announcement include Tsukiko Shimojima, voiced by Sakura Shinfuku, Tsubasa Igarashi, voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi, and Momoka Kuriki, voiced by Akari Kito. The official Japanese anime site lists a first-season television premiere beginning April 2, 2026. Netflix announced a second season for weekly worldwide release starting October 1, 2026, in Pacific Time, or October 2 in Japan. The new arc moves Koyuki and Minato’s friendship toward romance while Yota finally confesses his feelings to Miki. Netflix has not announced an all-at-once drop or a separate English-dub release date in the cited season-two materials. New viewers can start with the first season to understand the group’s earlier history.
