Anime details
Tank Chair is a 2026 television anime adapted from Manabu Yashiro’s manga and animated by Polygon Pictures. Assassin Nagi Taira was gravely wounded while protecting his younger sister Shizuka and now spends most of his time unconscious in a wheelchair. He wakes when someone nearby directs murderous intent at him. Shizuka takes him into confrontations with dangerous opponents, hoping repeated awakenings will help him recover. Koki Uchiyama voices Nagi, Minori Fujidera voices Shizuka, Gakuto Kajiwara voices Naozumi Kurosaka and Saori Hayami voices Touko Kurosaka. Megumi Ogata was announced on September 17 as the voice of Sensei, with the performance heard in the second main promotional video. Tadahiro “Tady” Yoshihira directs and handles series composition and screenplay; Hiroaki Ando also directs and writes. The official Japanese broadcast begins October 4, 2026 on Tokyo MX at 23:00 Japan time, with Japanese Prime Video advance streaming at 23:30 the same day. Other Japanese services follow. A worldwide streaming availability announcement is not present in the official English broadcast listing, so the Japanese service schedule should not be read as a global promise. The show combines violent action, strange characters and the sibling relationship at its center.
