Magic Knight Rayearth

Magic Knight Rayearth follows Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki and Fuu Hououji, three second-year middle school students who meet at Tokyo Tower and are summoned to the otherworld of Cephiro. Chosen as Magic Knights, they draw on fire, water and wind as they learn to fight together and search for a way to save the world that called them. Princess Emeraude summons the trio while Cephiro begins to collapse. Zagato is said to have imprisoned her, the mage Clef teaches the girls to use magic, Presea creates their weapons and Mokona travels with them. The new television anime returns to the premise of CLAMP's manga rather than continuing the 1994 series. Yui Miura directs, Shigeru Murakoshi handles series composition and E&H production is the animation studio, with TMS Entertainment, Kodansha and TV Asahi on the production committee. Japanese television broadcasting begins October 7, 2026 in TV Asahi's IMAnimation W block. An episode count and international streaming service have not been announced.
