Anime details
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is an enhanced edition of the opening Dragon Ball Super television story. Several years after the defeat of Majin Buu, Beerus awakens from a long sleep and hears about the Saiyan who defeated Frieza. His search brings him to Goku and puts Earth in danger, leading to the battle between the God of Destruction and the Super Saiyan God. The project is more extensive than a conventional remaster. The production says it adds and redraws a large number of cuts, completely re-renders the footage, records the dialogue again, adds music and sound effects, and reconstructs the story. The Super Surge trailer also shows Frieza and newly revealed enemies threatening Earth, though their identities and place in the rebuilt narrative have not been announced. The Japanese premiere is Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 11:15 p.m. JST. Masako Nozawa returns as Son Goku and Koichi Yamadera as Beerus. MEGATERA・ZERO performs the opening “ONOGAMI,” and VK Blanka performs the ending “Kan Peki No Peki.” An international streaming platform and episode count remain unannounced.
