Ahare! Meisaku-kun

Overview

Ahare! Meisaku-kun follows Meisaku Matsuda, an ordinary student attending a school filled with classmates who want to become part of a famous story. Short episodes turn fairy tales, school life, wordplay and pop culture into quick comedy. The anime began in 2016 and returned to Japanese television in July 2026 after four years away. Taketo Shinkai directs, JUN OSON handles the character designs and Pie in the sky produces the animation. The main voice cast includes Akihiko Nasu, Shigeki Nakanishi, Manabu Kaneko, Taiji Asuwa and Kensho Ono. Reruns are scheduled from October through December 2026. New episodes return in January 2027, while the official YouTube channel continues to make the shorts available outside the weekly TV Tokyo network broadcast.
