Overview
YAGA is an eight-episode contemporary mystery thriller adapted by writer and showrunner Kat Sandler from her play. Its story reimagines Baba Yaga through an investigation in Whittock, a small coastal town. Private investigator Rapp arrives to look for Henry Park, the young heir to a powerful fishery. He finds himself at odds with local detective Carson and encounters Katherine, a charismatic university professor.
Noah Reid plays Rapp, Clark Backo plays Carson, Carrie-Anne Moss plays Katherine, and Hudson Williams plays Henry Park. David Frazee and Rachel Talalay direct. Sandler is an executive producer alongside Moss, Mackenzie Donaldson, Andrew Miller and other production partners. Front Street Pictures and Blink49 Studios produce the series in association with Bell Media; Sphere Abacus handles international distribution.
Where to watch: the series is not yet streaming in full as of October 3, 2026. It premieres October 23 on AMC+ in the United States and on Crave in Canada, with two half-hour episodes. New episodes follow on Fridays, ending with a two-episode finale November 27. AMC+ lists the U.S. rating as TV-MA.
Sky in the United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand, HBO Max in Europe excluding the United Kingdom and Ireland, and Foxtel Group in Australia have been announced as international buyers. The Canadian distribution announcement does not confirm premiere dates for those regions. A Canadian episode companion podcast hosted by Carley Thorne begins October 23 on Crave’s YouTube channel and iHeartRadio.
