The Wanted Man follows Felix Carmichael, the head of a criminal organization played by Hugh Laurie. After someone inside his own firm betrays him, Felix is sent to Staplehurst prison. He must survive there while worrying about the family, company and money he left behind. He decides to escape. George Kay created and wrote the eight-episode crime drama. Kay previously created Hijack and worked on Lupin. Jakob Verbruggen directs, and Laurie also serves as an executive producer. The cast includes Thandiwe Newton, Fionn Whitehead, Gina McKee, Hazel Doupe, Elliott Heffernan and Stephen Dillane. Apple TV’s first-look photos also show Gershwyn Eustache Jnr. Most of the supporting character names have not been announced. Apple TV has scheduled a worldwide premiere for January 6, 2027. The first two episodes arrive together, followed by one every Wednesday through February 17. The series is not available to stream yet. The official first-look release included five cast and scene photos but no full trailer.
