The Savant

The Savant is an eight-part Apple TV limited thriller starring and executive produced by Jessica Chastain. She plays an undercover investigator who enters online hate groups, builds false identities and tries to stop planned acts of violence while protecting her private life. Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley and Toussaint Francois Battiste are part of the cast, with Pablo Schreiber appearing as a guest star. Melissa James Gibson serves as showrunner, and Matthew Heineman directs. The series was originally scheduled to premiere on September 26, 2025, but Apple postponed it three days before release. Chastain later defended its focus on investigators who prevent violence. Apple has now set a spring 2027 release window, although the exact premiere date and episode schedule have not been announced.
