Spring of the Blade

Spring of the Blade is a Chinese historical romance and revenge drama starring Xu Kai and Zhou Ye. Xie Qingyuan returns to the Xie household to investigate what happened to her mother. Shen Run, who knew her when they were younger, has risen to a position of authority and is investigating corruption. Their renewed connection draws them into family rivalries and political struggles. The official Chinese cast listing names Xu Kai as Shen Run / Yan Rui and Zhou Ye as Xie Qingyuan / Chen Yunya. Those paired names belong to the respective lead roles; they should not be counted as four different actors. Bai Shu, Min Chunxiao, Ke Ying and Chen Yihan also appear in the cast. Pan Anzi directs the adaptation of You Sijie’s novel 一瓯春. The series premiered on September 17, 2026, on iQIYI and Youku in China. iQIYI International also carries the title. The official format is 30 episodes, with releases during the run varying by date, market and membership tier. A preview in an episode list does not establish that the full episode has unlocked.
