South Park

South Park is an animated comedy created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. It follows Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny through dark, surreal and topical stories centered on their Colorado town. The series premiered on Comedy Central on August 13, 1997. Trey Parker and Matt Stone remain executive producers with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. The Television Academy lists “Sermon on the Mount” as the 2026 Outstanding Animated Program winner. Season 28 ran for five episodes in 2025. Season 29 premieres September 16, 2026 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, with additional dated broadcasts through November 25. Paramount+ carries episodes the next day in the United States, Canada and Australia, with broader worldwide streaming also announced. South Park Studios announced SOUTH AMERICA as the show’s new public-facing name on September 9, but did not state how long the branding will last.
