Phony is a coming-of-age mystery from Nick Paley about a teenager who wakes in the hospital after a car accident, convinced that his mother has been replaced. Sam Nivola and Connie Britton lead the cast, with Grace Brennan, Maliq Johnson, Colter Lee, Meera Syal and Mahaela Park. Paley created the series, wrote its first two episodes and directed half of the first season; Anthony King is co-showrunner, and 20th Television produces. Hulu lists Phony as an Original premiering October 20, 2026. Hulu on Disney+ is available to U.S. Disney Bundle subscribers; no separate international Disney+ release has been announced.
