Overview

Carrie is an eight-episode Prime Video horror drama based on Stephen King’s debut novel. Summer H. Howell plays Carrie White, a sheltered teenager thrust into public high school after her father’s death. As a viral bullying scandal spreads through Chamberlain, Carrie discovers telekinetic abilities while living under the control of her fiercely protective mother, Margaret, played by Samantha Sloyan. Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Joel Oulette, Josie Totah, Arthur Conti, Thalia Dudek, Amber Midthunder and Matthew Lillard complete the announced series-regular ensemble. Mike Flanagan serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer, directs four episodes and shares executive-producer credit with Stephen King. Kate Siegel, Axelle Carolyn, Kyra Sedgwick and Hiromi Kamata direct the remaining episodes. Amazon MGM Studios produces. All eight episodes arrive on Prime Video on October 7, 2026. Individual episode titles and runtimes, one universal launch hour, territory-specific ratings and language menus, and any continuation beyond the first season remain unannounced.
