Beyond Society is a three-episode documentary series that begins after the rescue of the survivors of Flight 571. It brings together survivors, relatives of people who did not return, writers who documented the story, and filmmakers who adapted it for the screen to examine the fifty years that followed. J.A. Bayona and Carlos Torres created the series, with Torres directing. Bayona, Sandra Hermida, and Belén Atienza produce. Confirmed participants include authors Piers Paul Read and Pablo Vierci and filmmakers Frank Marshall and Bayona, alongside survivors and bereaved families. Beyond Society premieres globally on Netflix on December 18, 2026, following a world premiere in the Official Selection at the San Sebastián International Film Festival as a special screening outside competition. Episode titles, individual runtimes, a weekly schedule, and a region-by-region release hour remain unannounced.
