Between Steps

Between Steps is a Korean romance starring Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun. Park Min-jae once hoped to become a swimmer. After illness cost him his right leg, he began building a different life through robotics. He is now working on a PhD at Seohan University, but worries about his health make it hard for him to think freely about the future.

Kim So-hyun plays Im Yu-jin, a fashion student whose plans for graduate school fall apart. Meeting Min-jae introduces her to robotics, and she takes a new path into a mechanical engineering master’s program. Min-jae finds it difficult to say what he feels; Yu-jin is more willing to make the first move.

Yu-jin’s family runs an auto shop. Park Hyuk-kwon plays her father, Im Yong-seok; Seo Jeong-yeon plays her mother, Seo Mi-young, who keeps the books. Kim Min-seok plays her older brother, Im Yu-seong, a mechanic who argues with his sister but cares about her. Lee Chang-hoon plays Ahn Jae-hong, the professor in charge of the robotics lab.

The drama was directed by Ahn Pan-seok, whose earlier romances include Something in the Rain and One Spring Night. Min Hyo-jung wrote the series, with KT Studio Genie planning the production and Studio GOTY producing it. The Korean title is Yeonae Baksa (연애박사).

The premiere is October 5, 2026. ENA will air the drama on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. KST in South Korea. Disney+’s US title page also announces October 5 and gives the series a TV-14 classification. Exact streaming times and availability can differ by country.
