4 Blocks Zero

4 Blocks Zero is a prequel to 4 Blocks set in 1990s Berlin. Malik Hamady has fled Lebanon with his four children and mother-in-law, hoping to build a safer life in Germany. The family faces bureaucracy, prejudice, and social exclusion before Malik’s brother-in-law Ibrahim returns after eight years in prison with a dangerous secret. Tariq Al-Saies plays Ibrahim, Rami Fadel Khalaf plays Malik, Tareq Nassery plays young Ali, and Soufiane El Mesaudi plays Abbas. The family cast also includes Fatima Khanfour as Hanin, Almountaser “Monty” Alchltouh as Marwan, Siana Zayed as Amara, and Mohammad Eliraqui as Latif. Bernd Lange is head writer, and Özgür Yıldırım and Hüseyin Tabak direct the German HBO Original. W&B Television produces for HBO Max.
