Former contestants revisit the plastic-surgery reality competition The Swan more than 20 years later.
The Swan: Behind the Mirror is a Hulu documentary directed by Erin Lee Carr. It revisits Fox’s 2004 reality competition The Swan, which offered women extensive cosmetic procedures and makeovers before selecting contestants for a beauty pageant. Former contestants and members of the production team discuss the show and its aftermath.
The documentary includes former contestants such as Kristy Garza and Tawnya Cooke. They appear as themselves, not as fictional characters. Carr produced the film with Rachel Bozich and Cheryl Hockey for Expectation; Colin Barr is an executive producer. It premiered on Hulu in the United States on September 29, 2026.
