The Social Reckoning

The Social Reckoning is a drama inspired by the Facebook Files investigation. Mikey Madison plays Facebook engineer Frances Haugen, who turns to Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz, played by Jeremy Allen White, as she considers exposing internal company documents. Jeremy Strong plays Mark Zuckerberg. Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen and Bill Burr are also in the announced cast, but Sony’s current official site does not publish a complete character map for those performers. Aaron Sorkin wrote and directed the film. Sony begins the global theatrical rollout on October 7, 2026, with the United States release on October 9. The checked official pages do not list a final runtime, streaming date or digital-release date, and the film is not yet rated.
