The Mosquito Bowl

The Mosquito Bowl follows John McLaughry, Bob Baumann, Tony Butkovich and David Schreiner, four college football stars who enlist in the US Marines after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Their wartime service leads to a football game on Guadalcanal while the Pacific campaign tests the relationships formed through the sport. Nicholas Galitzine plays McLaughry, Bill Skarsgård plays Baumann, Ray Nicholson plays Butkovich and Tom Francis plays Schreiner. Brent Comer and Dominic Bogart are also listed in the cast. Peter Berg directs and produces the adaptation of Buzz Bissinger’s 2022 nonfiction book. The R-rated drama opens in select theaters on October 30, 2026 and arrives on Netflix on November 25. Netflix has not announced the complete theater list or a release hour for streaming.
