Overview
Jake Johnson plays Dusty Boyd, a former tennis prodigy who now coaches children at his father’s country club. His father Chuck, played by Ed Harris, refuses to let pickleball replace tennis on the club’s courts. When Dusty hurts his wrist again, his doctor recommends pickleball while he recovers.
Dusty becomes partners with Candace, a divorced player played by Mary Steenburgen. Ben Stiller plays Dr. Stone, Aaron Chen plays PJ and Chloe Fineman plays Marisa. Tennis player Andy Roddick appears as a fictional version of himself, Dusty’s old rival.
Josh Greenbaum directs this American comedy from a script by Sean Clements. The original language is English. Released July 24, 2026, the film runs 102 minutes and is available with an Apple TV subscription in the United States. The US service also lists Brazilian Portuguese audio and subtitles.
