Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters

The search takes Percy beyond the camp and into the Sea of Monsters. The Golden Fleece offers a way to restore the camp’s safety, but other forces want its power for a different purpose. Percy must also adjust to the arrival of Tyson, a Cyclops who is his half-brother.

Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson return as Percy, Annabeth and Grover. Jake Abel returns as Luke; Douglas Smith joins as Tyson, and Stanley Tucci plays the camp director Dionysus. Thor Freudenthal directs from a screenplay by Marc Guggenheim, adapting the second book in Rick Riordan’s series.

Released in the United States on August 7, 2013, the film runs 106 minutes and is rated PG. Watch The Lightning Thief first to meet this version of the characters. This is the second film starring Lerman, distinct from the later television adaptation and its retelling of the Sea of Monsters story.
