One of Them Days

Dreux and Alyssa are best friends sharing an apartment in Los Angeles. Dreux works at a diner and has an interview for a management job. Alyssa is an artist whose boyfriend spends the money she gave him to pay their rent. With eviction threatened that evening, the women try increasingly risky ways to raise $1,500.

Keke Palmer plays Dreux and SZA plays Alyssa. Lawrence Lamont directed the comedy from a screenplay by Syreeta Singleton, with Issa Rae among its producers. Vanessa Bell Calloway plays Mama Ruth, Katt Williams plays Lucky and Maude Apatow plays Bethany. Janelle James appears as Ruby, with Keyla Monterroso Mejia as Kathy and Joshua Neal as Keshawn.

TriStar Pictures released the film in U.S. theaters on January 17, 2025. It runs 97 minutes. Hulu lists it as a September 30, 2026 addition to its U.S. catalog. Sony also links to digital rental or purchase options; those are separate from a streaming subscription. Availability varies by country.

The U.S. MPA classification is R for language throughout, sexual material and brief drug use.
