Mr. Irrelevant: The John Tuggle Story follows John Tuggle after the New York Giants select him with the final pick of the 1983 NFL draft. David Corenswet plays the rookie as he tries to survive training camp and become useful to a team that expects him to be cut. Michael Shannon plays first-year Giants head coach Bill Parcells, and Isabel May plays the woman Paramount describes as Tuggle’s newfound love. The official trailer moves from the draft and football practice to the cancer diagnosis that changed Tuggle’s life and his relationship with the team. Paramount will release the movie in US theaters on December 25, 2026. A streaming date, final runtime and rating are not currently listed on Paramount’s official movie page or film website.
