Overview
Last Shot follows Caden Isaacs, a 12-year-old basketball prodigy whose father, Darren, dies suddenly. Caden moves to Nashville to live with his estranged mother, Lexi, a music executive. He joins an elite basketball team while dealing with grief, new friendships, rivalries and the expectations placed on a talented young player.
Dylan Friedman plays Caden, Jaime Pressly plays Lexi and Michael Rapaport plays Darren. The cast also includes Johnny Simmons as Bobby, Laraine Newman as Leann and former NBA All-Star Baron Davis as Austin. Andy Palmer directs from a screenplay by Todd Friedman. Producers include Pressly, Warner Davis, Todd Friedman and Kelly Brown, with Hemlock Circle Productions behind the film.
The drama screened at festivals before its October 2026 U.S. theatrical opening. Jersey Shore’s June 13 program listed 108 minutes; the current cinema listing gives 105 minutes. The official film site advertises October 1, while the studio slate and current cinema engagements use October 2. Both refer to the same opening week, not a confirmed streaming debut.
Current U.S. cinema engagements are listed for October 2–8, including Laemmle NoHo’s opening-weekend Q&A screenings. No U.S. subscription-streaming platform or streaming date has been announced.
