La La Land

La La Land follows Mia, an aspiring actor working between auditions, and Sebastian, a jazz pianist who hopes to open his own club. Their relationship grows as each begins to find professional momentum, but the demands of those ambitions pull them in different directions. Damien Chazelle wrote and directed the film, with Emma Stone as Mia, Ryan Gosling as Sebastian, and music by Justin Hurwitz. Lionsgate released it in December 2016. The movie combines original songs, large-scale musical sequences, and a bittersweet look at the choices behind creative careers. A 2026 theatrical return marked its tenth anniversary with selected premium-format screenings. That engagement is a re-release of the same film, not a sequel, remake, or new cut.
