Heart of the Beast

Heart of the Beast is an adventure thriller about Special Forces officer James Belmont and his combat dog Odin. A plane crash leaves them stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness, where terrain, weather and new threats turn their bond into their best chance of survival. Brad Pitt stars as James Belmont. J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe are also named in Paramount Pictures’ second official trailer, but their character assignments remain unconfirmed in the checked material. David Ayer directs the film, Cameron Alexander wrote it and the confirmed United States rating is PG-13. The movie opens in United States theaters on September 25, 2026. A Paramount-hosted global premiere is scheduled for September 16 at FirstBank Amphitheater, followed by a separate exclusive conservation-benefit premiere at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena on September 18.
