Overview
Many witches and wizards refuse to accept Harry’s account of Voldemort’s return. The Ministry of Magic intervenes at Hogwarts by appointing Dolores Umbridge to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. Her lessons leave students unprepared for the dangers ahead, so Harry begins training a group himself. His fifth year connects conflict inside the school with the wider struggle against Voldemort.
David Yates directs, with Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, Rupert Grint as Ron and Emma Watson as Hermione. Released in 2007, the film belongs to Warner Bros.’ eight-film Harry Potter series, based on J.K. Rowling’s novels.
