WWF No Mercy is a Nintendo 64 wrestling game published by THQ and built around AKI's timing-heavy grappling system. A match is decided through positioning, strike and grapple choices, reversals, pins, submissions, and the way damage accumulates across a wrestler's body. The WWF roster supplies recognizable opponents, but the mechanical appeal is how much control the player has over a hold, counter, or momentum swing once the timing is understood.

Exhibition matches provide a broad set of rules, including tag and ladder-style contests, while the Championship mode uses branching paths rather than a single fixed sequence. Create-a-Wrestler gives the home release another long-term project: choose a base, appearance, moves, and attributes, then take that character into the rest of the modes. The result is closer to a wrestling sandbox than a simple tournament bracket.

Start with a one-on-one exhibition and practice the difference between a strike, a grapple, and a reversal before trying a multi-person match. Watch the opponent's momentum and target damage deliberately instead of mashing for a finisher at every opening. A successful counter can change the match, but a missed grapple can leave the player exposed. Once the timing feels reliable, try Championship mode and keep a created wrestler for later experimentation. This is the 2000 WWF-branded N64 game, not a later WWE title or a modern remake.
