Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a stealth-action game starring Sam Fisher, a secret agent trying to stop a planned series of attacks called the Blacklist. Each mission puts guards, cameras and other obstacles between Sam and an objective. You can study their positions, slip through quietly, use gadgets to distract them or fight your way forward. A small flying drone and a camera that peeks under doors help you check a space before entering it.

The Paladin aircraft is the team’s base. Between missions, its Strategic Mission Interface shows objectives and lets you use money earned in play to improve Sam’s equipment. The original game also offered co-op and competitive multiplayer, but Ubisoft now says its online features are no longer supported and multiplayer and co-op modes are not functional. Do not buy it today expecting those modes to work.
Ubisoft released Blacklist on August 20, 2013, for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. It is a separate game from the first Splinter Cell and from Splinter Cell: Conviction. In the United States and Canada, the ESRB rates it M (Mature 17+) for Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Intense Violence and Strong Language.
