The Walking Dead: Season One begins with Lee Everett trying to survive a zombie outbreak in Georgia. He meets a young girl named Clementine, and protecting her becomes the heart of the story. You explore places, speak with other survivors and choose what Lee says or does when there is no easy answer. Those decisions affect relationships and later scenes; this is not a game about clearing one endless wave of zombies.

The first episode, A New Day, arrived on the U.S. PlayStation Store on April 24, 2012. The five episodes rolled out across 2012. The original season was also released for Windows PC, Mac and Xbox 360, with platform timing differing. The gallery below shows early survival, a group holding a door, walkers outdoors, a fight and Lee with Clementine at the motel. It gives the look of the game without giving away its final choices.
The original Telltale Games made and published this season. That studio is distinct from the newer company that later acquired the Telltale name. This profile covers the 2012 season, not Season Two, the 400 Days add-on or a later collection. The U.S. ESRB rated the original M (Mature 17+) for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Sexual Themes and Strong Language.
