Sayonara Wild Hearts turns a young woman’s heartbreak into a colorful arcade journey. A butterfly leads her to a dreamlike world, where her other self is a masked rider called The Fool. Its story is told through music, movement and short stages rather than long conversations.

The action changes as the songs move forward. You ride motorcycles, travel through the air, fight with swords and take part in dance battles. The camera also changes, so one stage can feel like a road chase while another looks more like a scene moving across the screen. The game is built around its original pop soundtrack and earning better scores on repeat runs.
This is a single-player arcade game, not an open-world motorcycle simulator. Its gallery shows the changing viewpoints, masked characters and purple-and-pink landscapes so you can see what that mix of music and action looks like. A controller is supported on the PC version.
Simogo developed the game and Annapurna Interactive published it. It first launched on September 19, 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Apple Arcade. The Windows PC release followed on December 12, 2019; that later Steam date is not the original launch.
United States rating: ESRB E10+ (Everyone 10+), with Fantasy Violence. The ESRB entry covers Macintosh, Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Check the local store listing for a different platform or country.
